Silk sarees should ideally be dry cleaned. If you have to wash them, hand wash only with cold water. It is recommended that you do a patch test with a small area that cannot be seen when draping to make sure the saree endures the cleaning agent.

 

Once washed, the saree should be air dried, do not use dryer.
